Teacher’s Day Celebration

Teachers’ Day is one of the most favorite day of teachers, this is the day when a student gets an opportunity to pay a special thanks to his teacher. Teacher’s day is celebrated in memory of Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan (5 September 1888 – 17 April 1975) who was an Indian philosopher and statesman who was the first Vice-President of India (1952–1962) and the second President of India from 1962 to 1967. GGITians celebrated teacher’s day on 5th September with much shine and entertainment. The event was formally inaugurated by Manager of GGIT Prof Ankur Johari. BBA and BCA students articipated with enthusiasm. The event was started with lamp lightening ceremony by Shri Kumar Akshay, Mrs Deepali Verma, Prof Ankur Johari and Dr.Ramesh Chandra and Dr.Dharmendra Varshney. The celebration was filled with entertaining dance performances and elite singing of the students of BBA and BCA. All the faculty members and staff were presented with a sobriquet and gift by students. Prof.Ankur Johari addressed the faculty and students, in his speech he stated about the importance of hard work and studies in life.He asked the students to work hard and achieve success in life,set the goals and target them. A game of cards was organized for the teachers and staff and the winner teacher was presented a prize. The ceremony ended with the Vote of thanks by GGIT-ain Simran and Jeetu.
